Academic Advocacy

SAPAC has beenĀ educating young Americans about Sindh and Sindhi issues since its creation in 2009. SAPAC works with universities across the United States to present Sindhi issues in front of classrooms and lecture halls. These presentations give a thorough introduction to Sindhi history, culture, and human rights abuses occurring in Sindh.

SAPAC has conducted presentations at the University of Arkansas, Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, and Hobert and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York. We hope to include Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland and other colleges across the country in educating young Americans about an important region in the world that is too often neglected in classrooms.

Executive Director of SAPAC and Sindhi human rights activist Fatima Gul discusses Sindh, Pakistan and human rights violations occurring in the region as part of her talk,
“Understanding Sindh: Advocacy for Peace and Prosperity in the forgotten region of Pakistan”
